Someone did a study and found that antibodies against Omicron work against Delta. He's just reporting that news.
However, what he didn't say is that Omicron is going to merge with Delta, and create new strains, and once everyone has antibodies to Omicron, it will find another mutation to allow it to infect Omicron-recovered.
It's hard to isolate a virus, like it's hard to isolate one human cell.
However, it exists, there are labs all around the world experimenting with them. There are even pictures under microscopes.
There is a test for the variants, it involves genetic sequencing. They take a bunch of viruses, grab bits of the sequences, and piece it together. It's messy, but it works. It's technology that is decades-old.
Even some of the rapid tests work because it will show some positive, but negative on the spike protein for Omicron because it's so different. So it's a cheap way to tell.
Untreated, this virus can fuck people up from sterility to dementia. I recommend having a home treatment kit at home to take at first symptoms.
