According to the lore, the Act of 1871 made Washington, DC into a private corporation with its own system of government unattached to the one outlined in the Constitution. Unbeknownst to us, Washington, DC is an independent city-state, along with the City of London, both of which are controlled by the Vatican, draining the United States of its wealth to construct the New World Order. Or something like that.
Sounds exciting but crazy. As with most unconfirmed theories, this one still lacks the strong, public evidence to justify some of its most extraordinary claims. In particular, the best proofs we find today of a corporation called "United States" or "UNITED STATES" appear in pixelated images of questionable provenance.
Today, I invite you to join me on a walk. It will be well worth your time, I promise.

However, this company doesn't appear in the eintaxid.com system. Let's do a web search for Corporation Service Company...okay, found a possible match:
The headquarters for this company is...the same Wilmington, Delaware address. We have the right company. Do they have a physical presence in Wilmington as they claim? A quick look on Street View says: yes, and the building's design indicates corporate headquarters status.
On their website, CSC claims to have offices in Delaware, Canada, London, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sweden, the Netherlands, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Singapore. However, it does NOT claim to have an office in Tallahassee. A Street View look at the Tallahassee address reveals a sign with "CSC" and "CORPORATION SERVICE COMPANY" on it.
Alright, this "Corporation Service Company" looks interesting. Let's dig deeper.
