It's not even all Nalgene bottles. Some colors are worse than others when exposed to UV light, as far as leeching plastic.
At home I just grab a quart Mason jar for drinking water. Save the Nalgene for when I am on the move.
The biggest key, is to never, ever, microwave food in plastic. Always, always, take it out and put it in a glass bowl. Hopefully it's in one of those wax paper containers to start.
