This is correct.

The fact is that they HATE people just living like humans and believe what they had is the best for you.

And I would be a lot more sympathetic to this if everytime it's not literally just living conditions deliberately designed to alienate, traumatize and finally, kill. a.k.a anything that makes sure you're just a statistic to the golden bull.
