Ignoring the lizardpeople part, it is incredibly interesting that without what we perceive as modern technology, like the internet, computers and cell phones, extremely similar architecture popped up all over the globe in the form of pyramid structures using methods of construction we're still scratching our collective heads over.
It's almost as if humans have the natural inclination to construct certain things because after enough time thinking things through, those certain things simply make sense. And there's no headscratching going on here; It's quite simple really. Get a few thousand slaves to haul blocks of stone, stack'em, glue'em, done.
It's called mortar. And even if the blocks weren't glued, with the proper stacking technique they wouldn't need to be glued. As can be seen with most major pyramids.
