Damn son, I've been thinking about this all night. It's for knowing your community. Drunks and wife beaters and meth heads dont typically go to church so the better half are there. It's putting an effort to try and raise your kids better. I can't imagine raising a young girl these days.
That said, I've had real bad church experiences and some really good church experiences. I guess it is what you put into it. In the end, it's choose a side.
