From the actual ruling

As will become apparent in due course, the outcome of this case does not in any way depend upon the merits of the views which the claimant has expressed in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic and the response which has been made to it by the National Health Service or national governments, in terms of public health measures imposed and advised medical treatment. For the reasons which are set out below, the court expresses no view whatever in relation to the issues which the claimant has raised in respect of these matters. For reasons which will become apparent, the determination of this appeal depends upon purely legal issues as to how the decision was arrived at in the present case.
