i wonder too if they have an off-planet escape as well. surely, with all the 'Secret Space Program' material, and the demonstrated behavior of craft such as the TR3 series, and speculated German Hanebau craft, and the extrapolated 'Dark Fleet' and 'Solar Warden' stuff, they have ways to leave Terra?

one interesting point, when you say "(they wrote all religions)", there's a disclosure in frank herbert's dune novel about the bene gesserit (aka 'jesuit') implanting religious memes into cultures for later use, that novel series seems full of disclosures, just an aside.
