They absolutely were removed from the history timeline, and clearly lost a war(s).
I suspect many of them may have been genocided in and around WW1 and WW2 seemed to finish them off for good.
Their influence all the way up to the 1800's is undeniable, and then they're completely erased from history post WW2.
Why?
If they were the solider class working for the banker class, and just went around setting up World Banks in every country they conquered then yeah the banking class decided they didn't need them anymore and offed them all, then erased them from history for facilitating all of their wars. It's a logical theory.
