I order shit on Amazon a lot (yea I know, but if its cheaper there than on manufacturer website or local store, Im not going to pay extra just to stick it to Bezos).
Recently most of my deliveries are delayed, carriers having problems (like one of the packages ended up in IN instead of NJ), and are being shipped from unusual locations (like subscribe and save item that usually ships from their NJ distribution center is being shipped from Texas instead), or outright cancelled order due to "unforseen error"
Anyone else seeing something similar?
First, I definitely encourage you to spend money at companies you’d believe in whether local or not. I try to only buy low profit margin items from Amazon (eg lightbulbs, overnight whiteboards). Buying at a farmers market is even better than local stores because you’re building up the sustainable rural core. But, don’t let these guys rip you off either because they will.
Yes to supply issues though really only for things that require cross country transit. I think the compaction is on the freight lines and not the last mile.
