And in response to your first point, first it would be more understandable that a Christian majority would try to shape the country it lives in, but when it comes from a minority it raises concerns, especially if that minority always plays victim and whenever anyone mentions they control America, they respond with anti-semite or crazy conspiracy theorist etc.. while in fact they say it in their own tongue.
