That's peanuts in the medical business. Would barely pay a couple employees salaries.
The research does have potential to be scary I will give you that, but really, 600K is not much in the grand scope of things. Average cost of one drug's development to market is about a billion right now (and yes, I understand there's more steps and testing and such, but still).

You must understand That to elevate to a position of power in communist countries you have to swear your mind body and soul to the allegiance in mission of the communist party. “Money” is a nasty thing to “desire.” Communism mostly replaced Buddhism in China. You could also find a recent doctorate in the relevant field, offer to pay off their student loan debt of $200,000 and still have $466,000 to outfit their lab if they just juice a natural virus/parasite like was done with anthrax.
