If hospitalization is up but severe cases are the same, I wonder how they define, 'hospitalization'?
It could be that the number of people who went to the hospital when they were sick.
They have a fear mongering campaign going on right now that among other things makes people more likely to goto the hospital when they feel symptoms, so if the number of parents who become more concerned the to.propaganda has increased , and there are now 5 times as many people going to the hospital when their kid feels a bit sick I would not at all be surprised.

If you take them to a hospital and you really scare the shit out of them, their heart rate will go nice and wild, the hospital will claim its because their lungs are filling up with fluid and therefore the heart is working harder and could give out... its best if we paralyze their lungs with this other emergency use drug, and put them on a vent. Now if they do a really top notch job, the EUA drug will destroy their kidneys, causing them to actually get real pneumonia which of course vents are not designed for, and which has never been used to treat pneumonia before... the correct response would be a steroid you inhale, normally. EDIT: The likely conclusion is the patients death, last I heard vents are killing at least 80%. If you are feeding your kid shit and not letting them get enough sun, then start by getting them some zinc, and some vitamin d, c.
To be fair if you read the article its all about "kids hospitalized with covid" not "from covid"... futhermore the CDC's own all cause death do not support the conclusion that kids are at any risk. And Florida is ample evidence of that fact, schools open throughout. In fact other than people with underlying health problems and those with really unhealthy lifestyles its basically harmless. Now if only we could get them to stop speaking in weasel.
