If viewed through a lens of opposing secret societies fighting for control of the direction of humanity, world history becomes much more interesting.
They were both freemasons and likely both Jesuits as well. Seem unlikely foes to me.

Ah ok. Yes, in my original post I mentioned that I'm not convinced Weishaupt even existed, so I don't really have any thoughts on him.
