Two points, you don't fight and survive 20 years of war without learning and teaching one another. Second, these men were instructed to take the capital, they are most likely their best units.
But they are not dogs. Those with actual discipline train themselves. And I agree, those people pictured are not normal. A normal person wouldn't make it into the capital uninvited. A normal person also wouldn't survive 20 years of targeted air strikes. Those are most likely high ranking veterans. Ones that know not to engage with the airport, or other such occupied areas.
Are they CIA trained? At this point, who hasn't been trained by a US agency. Were they trained for a photo op? Not likely. Again, who in Afghanistan hasn't had American training?
Lets circle back on this shall we? You say they can't be trained. Yet you claim they can be CIA trained...
Again, discipline comes from within. They have been living this life since they were born. Anyone who has survived this long, not only is not normal, but is also not a dog.
Yeah I've seen him almost murder a guy in a drunken bar and threaten to a cab driver. I knew he was gonna hurt someone the second he started talking about his body count. Funny thing is he is usually the nicest and most responsible of the retired operators I use to work with. PTSD is no joke.
i'll give him the optics and trigger discipline, but not the well oiled part. Afghanistan has some of the best gunsmiths in the world. skill and craftsmanship beyond what you would mostly find in the US. they know how to take care of guns. their weapons being well oiled is not unusual.
I think all these guys looting ARs are in for a rough awakening. Do we really think they have the dedication and routine to keep them clean to stay up in a firefight? Let's hope not.
It's a picture of the Taliban sitting at the afgans president's desk. They took over. Saw it over on GAW.
I've never been trained beyond video games and I know to do that.
They're well oiled and expensive optics because they were probably dropped by the afghan army less then 24 hours ago.
Is that surprising, or??
It's been a CIA operation since day 1.

One of the guys I worked with spent most of his time in Afghanistan embedded with Afghani warbands training them how to fight.
