Back about, IDK, 8-10 years ago all news media, like a conducted orchestra, started talking about how people needed to get their flu vaccine shot. Then it escalated to pointing out how people without the vaccine were infecting other people. Then it escalated further to shaming. Then nurses were being called out for showing up to work without being vaccinated putting already at risk people at greater risk, how could a person do that to another human being. Then you began seeing "news" anchors rising up out of their chairs to tell their audiences to, and I quote, "stop being selfish and get the damned shot".
It was weird. It's the weirdest thing I had seen out of the news media. And as quickly as it came, it went. The rhetoric coming from news media surrounding the flu vaccine shank back to it's regular seasonal mentions about how it's good for you and you should get it.
