ICUs are not meant to be empty. Hospitals are built sized to the local population, and the beds are meant to be filled, as this is a corporation after all. Many of these are elective surgeries, or not critical cases that wouldn't be in the ICU during an actual pandemic.

NYC is a joke. Just ignore it. Anyone who chooses to stay there knows the full consequences and didn't care.
It's not easy to pick up the family and move have a heart. Plus we need to stay and fight, not run.
