Fat people can't control themselves; need help from others. They are also much more likely to get bullied leading to hate other people and being okay with authoritarian control because they know others don't want it. TPTB need authoritarian people in large enough %'s to push all their authoritarian policies. America has been getting fatter and fatter over the years and TPTB have been encouraging it and supplying all the right types of food necessary to achieve it. Now that the % of fat people has reached critical mass they can roll out the biggest authoritarian control mechanism the world has seen.

Addendum: Fat people are at greater risk of serious complications or death when it comes to things like the flu, or renamed flu's such as covid.

Fat people are more likely to have inferior paying jobs compared to their skinnier cohorts thus more likely to want government help.
