Then why test unvaccinated people who lack symptoms? They are just as likely to fight off the infection.

That wouldn't help the narrative.

The narrative seems to be that the human immune system doesn't exist.

How to make an effective vaccine:

  1. Tell everyone it is effective
  2. Run a different test on people who are vaccinated so that you get fewer positive hits
  3. When this doesn't work, stop testing altogether.

How often does this happen? Is it statistically significant?

It is intentionally very hard to know, since it was decided from the beginning by the CDC to basically not report "breakthrough infections" unless the "vaccinated" people are hospitalized or die from their "infection". Also it was strongly encouraged to subject "vaccinated" PCR to fewer cycles, creating fewer false positives compared with the higher threshold for "unvaccinated".

And yet WaPo still practically saying here it's wrong to count "breakthrough infections" among vaccinated with no strong symptoms or illness. If it's wrong for them it's wrong for the "unvaccinated" too.

So we don't know if it's important?
