Gnostics cut out the middleman :
Go straight to the source and experience / know God yourself.
NO control, no hierarchy, no gatekeepers.
They were not an alternative Christian sect.
They were The Alternative to all organised religions.
That is why the church hunted them down, killed them and burned theie books.
And something outside, something alien, is causing the corruption. It's not us.
