Bitchute just updated their terms of service to ban "hatred against a group of persons or a member of a group of persons based on any of the grounds referred to in Article 21 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union" and any content that is "containing threats of violence or is likely to incite violence".
This was done "in consultation with the UK Office of Communications (OFCOM)".
Article 21 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU:
- Any discrimination based on any ground such as sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation shall be prohibited.
- Within the scope of application of the Treaties and without prejudice to any of their specific provisions, any discrimination on grounds of nationality shall be prohibited.
