In Canada, they turn on the news, and you can see them go glassy eyed and the drool start to form. One good thing that happened with Covid is that we see this behaviour for what it is now. (programming)

Before it was just, I get my news from the interwebz (reddit or whatever), and you watch your box. I can't be bothered watching advertisements every five minutes.
