They should have specifically stated that EAST Asians have a higher measurable IQ. Taken as a whole all Asians do NOT have a higher average IQ than caucasians.
When I say East Asians, I am referring only to Japanese, South Koreans Taiwanese and Chinese. The measurement numbers for IQ in Japan and South Korea are very credible.
Is there a different between the IQs of urbanized Chinese and the rural Chinese living further west? Yes, some of that difference can be explained by greater educational opportunities in the richer, more urbanized parts of Eastern China.
In the US, South Asians from India do have higher IQs but this groups of Indians are self-selected for a higher IQ. Indian migrants are ambitious, they understood that the best universities are in the US and they often migrate to seek educational and work opportunities not available in India. Poor uneducated Indians cannot just walk across the US southern border in the way that Central and South Americans can.
