The Graham-Meyers sold to Amazon for $250 million, 15x the original purchase price (after accounting for inflation).
Later that year, in Oct '13, Princeton alum Bezos won a court battle against IBM to pick up his first cloud contract from the CIA, worth $600 million...more than enough to cover the WAPO purchase.
