I noticed this years ago on reddit...any post with the word "whistleblower" tried to auto-correct to something else. Even here on .win "whistleblower" isn't recognized as a word.
It's not because it's a compound word either...plenty of compound words with as much widespread use as "whistleblower" are added into the dictionary.
I know this may seem insignificant, but I thought it was something worth mentioning.
The spell check function is a function of the browser you are using. I discovered this when I changed operating system and browser and spellcheck disappeared because on the new browser it was not on by default.
(got that when I searched).
It's a good point though, cuz while "whistleblower" is in most dictionaries, it is indeed curiously absent from big tech's browser dictionaries. And let's face it, spellcheck has kind of usurped everyday dictionary usage. When I had to do without for a while because I was too dumb to figure out it wasn't switched on, my spelling really suffered!
