i'd imagine it leads to fun conversations when they see a big white light walking around the airport, or casino, or the bank lobby security cameras.
works good for masking your plates too... just surround your plates in UV LED's and run them at night... the traffic light and speed cams won't be able to read your plates.
i think it works on the plate scanning cameras the cars have now... the ones they use to surf parked cars in big parking lots.
whenever you see a road pirate with a box mounted on all 4 corers of the car... it's a plate reader.
