The truth is that copyright is unworkable in the information age, and is completely unenforceable to somebody determined to ignore it. Not that enforcability determines right and wrong, but when you have a belief system that can only be enforced by massive intrusions into peoples private communications and lives, that's a pretty good sign that such a belief has serious flaws.

Now days, there are better way to monetize artistic creations anyhow, like concerts.
