How these people have any credibility is beyond me..
They control the media. It's that simple.
When you control 100% of the information that people see, throughout their entire lives, there's really no end to the amount of bullshit you can get them to believe. The cartoons they see as kids, the music, every single article they read from Vogue to Vice to HuffPo, WaPo, NYTs and LA Times...vanity Fare, SNL, Comedy Central, Hollywood (which influences the entire globe). "Soft Power" is what they call it. They even have a few "fact checker" sites that they own. In case any of their unwitting followers wish to exert a mild bit of "due diligence" in their "news" consumption. Just to fortify the brainwashing.
We must acquire the direction of education—of church management—of the professorial chair, and of the pulpit. We must bring our opinions into fashion by every art—spread them among the people by the help of young writers. We must preach the warmest concern for humanity, and make people indifferent to all other relations. We must take care that our writers be well puffed, and that the Reviewers do not depreciate them; therefore we must endeavour by every means to gain over the Reviewers and Journalists; and we must also try to gain the booksellers, who in time will see that it is their interest to side with us.
Trump's biggest misstep was keeping MSM in the White house Press Corp. And...doing every single one of his presidential interviews with the same "fake news" he claimed to despise, mistrust, etc. Parler only came around in 2020, ffs. What a mess.
Of course, everything I say is clearly "conspiracy theory", now, so...

But anyways, it's an old story.
