Lovely discussion I just had about facemasks

I'm sure most here already know this, but here's some info I've come across over the last year proving cloth face masks are useless at stopping a viral respiratory infection, including Covid-19.
https://www.sott.net/article/434796-The-Science-is-Conclusive-Masks-and-Respirators-do-NOT-Prevent-Transmission-of-Viruses
The above link goes into detail why face masks don't work, and uses several scientific studies (done before Covid politics got involved) proving it from several different angles. Summary of the link:
1.) Most studies and articles saying that face masks are effective at stopping viral respiratory infections are biased and intentionally lying, telling half truths, for instance, that masks do reduce larger droplets from being released into the air. They fail to mention that face masks don't stop the smaller droplets, which are far more numerous, by percentage contain most of the viral load, and just 1 of those small droplets can lead to infection.
2.) Most unbiased studies show masks offer no benefit to preventing viral respiratory infection.
3.) Contagiousness of disease is based mostly on air humidity. The drier the air, the more infectious a disease becomes, which is why more people get sick during winter (less humidity) and fewer during summer (more humidity), and also why more people get sick inside, because central A/C and heaters reduce the humidity of the air inside. It's unknown why this occurs.
4.) Surgical cloth masks, and even the better N95 masks, don't stop air droplets less than 2.5μm.
5.) Just 1 air droplet of 2.5μm easily has enough viral load to cause a respiratory infection. As a surprise to no intelligent person, virions/viruses are really really small.
6.) 64% of the total viral load given off by a sick person comes from droplets 2.5μm and smaller, which means masks don't stop the particles with most of the viral load released via breathing, talking, coughing, or sneezing.
7.) Air droplets 2.5μm and smaller are not removed from the air by gravitational forces, and can remain in the air for hours. Deducing beyond the link, this means even mild air currents can spread a virus far enough to make the source of the spread difficult to identify.
8.) Exposure to virally contaminated air for even a short time (an hour in the relevant study), results in multiple times the minimum infective dose to cause infection.
9.) At the time of writing of this article (April 20th 2020), it's unknown the negative effects of mask use, which could easily be more detrimental than not using them, considering probable bacterial growth on the mask from repeated use leading to other infections, and increased aerosolization of larger viral laden droplets stopped by the mask that can then be spread. We now know that face mask usage is leading the bacterial pneumonia infections, among other things.
Even if the above is up for debate, lets analyze the evidence of face mask use so far.

This article discusses the effectiveness of face mask usage by county in Florida, and by state in the U.S., comparing those that required face masks versus those that didn't. The counties and states that required face masks actually had a higher number of Covid-19 cases per capita than those that didn't, even when accounting for population density. This means that face masks are worse than useless, they actually increase disease transmission, if the official Covid-19 numbers can be believed.
The U.S. military concluded the same thing.
https://www.aier.org/article/even-a-military-enforced-quarantine-cant-stop-the-virus-study-reveals/
This article details a study by the U.S. Navy, using 1848 new Marine recruits, where they tested the effectiveness of all the actions taken thus far (not including vaccines) at attempting to slow the spread of Covid-19. The recruits were isolated to prevent outside influences. They used 6 foot social distancing, wore 2 face masks, quarantined the sick (even those that had a positive test result but were asymptomatic), did temperature checks, didn't use items that could increase spread by touch, sanitized all surfaces after every use, etc., and given the military setting they were much more stringent than people in any normal civilian setting. The study showed that the 1,848 Marines in the study had a higher infection rate than the general population.
As a last nail in the coffin, look up what people wear when they're working with deadly contagions, like those in the military that deal with biological weapons, or doctors studying these diseases in heavily controlled laboratories. It most certainly isn't a cloth face mask.
