Kind of anti-climactic. Russia is like that. Poke the bear, it beats on its chest, has a piss, and then it hibernates. Truth is it didn't go anywhere.

Not like it retreated from Sverastopol, that would be ridiculous. What was Russia going to do if it invaded the Ukraine. Occupy a hostile population with full international condemnation. Not if it would lose more.

Instead it sits there. It can sponsor rebels indefinitely. While Ukraine isn't joining Nato or the EU either. As that is a red line.
