They drank wine...refrigeration didn’t exist that far in the past to maintain grape juice.
wine is a metaphor.. turning 'water' (normal people that believe in materialism) to 'wine' (God centered people, Christ-> the awakened one)
bizarre thing is that Jesus never said that what he was doing was his alone to do, no, he said.. all things I do you can do as well.

Makes a lot of sense. We are exposed to pathogens all the time, sometimes we get sick sometimes not.
It's the internal microbiome that should be corrected.
