So this is not the dearest topic to me, i can well envision this to be true although i never had an opinion on it and it looked always a clickbait topic.
Though in this case i must admit it's quite hard to refuse this... It doesn't look fake, nor it is low resolution.
In the reddit comments someone is trying to rationalize this as a pupil defect, but it's obviously not a good explaination as her eyes just blink and go back to normal.
