exothermic chemical reactions and the ensuing chemical combustion has highly characteristic coloring (depending on the chemical). This is obvious in your linked video with the fire appearing practically purple. This is evidently not the case in the documentary.
the definition of scam implies you are being scammed out of something either time or money or other resource. I defy you to show me any way whatsoever in which anyone involved in this documentary has attempted to profit from it. You won’t be able to.
