IF a vaccine does not cause a reaction, then that means the vaccine is "safe".
IF the vaccine does cause a reaction, then that means the vaccine is "effective"

Family member just said if everyone in the family doesn't get the vaccine she won't be going to any family events. I told her she's going to be very lonely.
