If you apply either normal sine waves or else normal DC to conductors, the EMF gets conveyed unmodified aside from normal I*2 R power losses. But when soon as you introduce transient pulses, the line properties come into play. For sine waves of fairly constant frequency and low frequency, there are no abnormal effects. Likewise for steady DC.
But fast rise/fall pulses cause 'ringing', a resonant effect. And in that case power gets lost by radiation. But modifying pulses for slow rise/fall times gains nothing - such pulses are still susceptible to IR power loss. For microwaves (high frequency EMF) this whole situation changes but this is not that case. I could also discuss what happens with changing magnetic fields and power losses from that but this isn't mean to be a dissertation. So in any case this 'new' technology gains nothing and is not special. I smell con game.
