Can't tell you how fat fucks are in the military right now. I was a mech and see fat people complain they can't do certain tasks pissed me off. Glad I am out. They say a army marches on its belly, but this gen will roll into combat.
That said, one way that the military subtly kicks people out of the service when it's downsized, and I've seen a couple waves of this, is that they change the BMI standards slightly, making it harder to make weight. Believe it or not, a lot of folks can't lose 10 pounds for the life of them. Then, when you need retention, they change the standards back to a looser one again. At the height of the Iraq War, you saw some porkers, but after the 2013 "Sequestration," they tightened the standards as a way to reduce the size of the service after budget cuts.
AKA instead of fixing health problems that made them fat we'll just pay to get custom made fat suits.

Yeah. This makes perfect sense.. They are "stretchy" in the stomach. They also added an airbag to the ejection chair that will comfort the baby, "that isn't a baby until 48 hours after it survives on its own."
