Can somebody tell me why everybody else needs to take a vaccine if the people taking it are immune

It's the mask argument all over again. If masks worked then you shouldn't worry about people sneezing on you all day as long as you wear a face diaper. If the vaccines worked you wouldn't need to keep wearing a mask and nobody else would need the jab because youre supposely "immunized".
