So I don't take them myself so I can't be certain of this but I've tried them years ago and they gave me all kinds of weird side effects, from things like barely being able to stay awake during the daytime to basically just feeling like a zombie. I have family members who I'm not sure if they are taking them currently but I know they have before (I'm kinda nervous to ask but I might) and they are handling the events of this past year very differently, basically they are skeptical of what's going on but they continually have a "wait and see" approach and they often seem too overwhelmed to really look deeply into what's going on. Would be interested if others have noticed anything like this as I have an admittedly flimsy sample size on a personal level.
My personal beliefs about antidepressants are that they are essentially a mechanism of social control, helping people to stay in unnatural situations that make them miserable rather than addressing the root cause but I feel like it's hard to know for sure when you can't really tell if any given stranger is using them or not. I have known some people who seemed really screwed up that told me they used them though.
A: hmm, if only we could extract all the benefits from this plant, while making it so people can’t get high
B: but getting high is one of the benefits of this plant, so why would you want to prevent that?
A: bbbut people might get high!
B: sofa king what? do you even know what high means?
A: well, no, not exactly...
B: have you ever been sad, depressed, blue... “low”?
because “high” is the opposite of all that!
