This is scary. If Lindell's claims are true, then it's not defamation. So if they go to court, Lindell gets to present his evidence as part of his own defense. It's a horrible mistake for them to sue him. But they're not that stupid, which probably means they're just that confident that the game will be rigged in their favor. That's what's scary.
Watch out for the judge to bar any evidence that suggests the election was tampered with (on the ground of "it's sedition to question a certified election" or something). Effectively making it procedurally impossible to offer a defense,so dominion wins by default.
They can tie him up in court and destroy him financially long before the case even makes it to discovery phase. They think they know what they are doing. Lindell has an advantage though because his business the last few months have been booming and that is likely not reflected in his public "profile" so dominion assumes it will take far less money to bankrupt him then it might actually take.
Most people do not understand how the court process works. They might not even spend a single day presenting any evidence. They could spend years litigating how and where to have the trial and other bs like that in order to financially drain Lindell.
Or they’re confident that he’s full of shit, idk
Yes, that's the other possibility, which is both frightening for its own reasons, and unlikely.

Is he even worth tat much?
He's not. It doesn't matter if he is or isn't though, the big number is to scare people into compliance.
Imagine that, mega corporation sues people to shut them up.
