Only in the USSA, other countries don't use high fructose corn syrup because the governments don't subsidize the growers.

I cook a lot and rarely eat any "junk food", I wonder what of the stuff that I eat that is "store bought" contains it.
It's tough to measure "manliness" over generational time periods, but one way it has been done is strength. Men today are noticeably weaker.

Refined sugar in general is poison for the neurotransmitters and the homeostasis of the body. It causes inflammation and obesity. HFCS is even worse.
