Back before large cities the average person would only know those in their village, they wouldn't know who hundreds or thousands of strangers are from other regions other than maybe through reading writings of authors or something like that. With modern technology many people have a feeling that they "know" various celebrities more in the way they know a friend. By this I mean that they obviously realize they aren't actually friends with the celebrity but in their head they think of them more as a full person rather than having strictly defined boundaries and understanding that what they see on the screen doesn't necessarily translate to a real person. It's hard to explain what I mean exactly I guess but basically this leads to people being influenced by celebrities and media personalities in ways that aren't healthy. For example in a village you knew everyone and had a good idea how they live their lives. With celebrities a person may feel they know them and how they live but in reality that celebrity may be a total degenerate in their personal life. This leads to some otherwise regular well meaning people picking up traits of extreme psychopathic narcissists and I think this is part of what is poisoning our society.

Within reality this is about the suggestion of the worth of others to trick one to consent to ignore oneself. Within fiction this is about utilizing the cult of personality to get one to consent to the contract of belief by believing in the idol offered, which eventually corrupts the believer to act in the name of the idol towards all others.
They offered porn; the majority consented, and their wants defined "teen" as the main category. Nowadays this corrupted the believer of porn to become to preacher of porn, which is why now "amateur" aka homemade pornography became the main category. They offered Hollywood stars, now social media idolizes everyone to each other.
Idolatry creates a selfish hierarchy (a chain of command; a self sustaining pyramid scheme of self destructive behavior), within which the participants exploit each other.
For example in a village you knew everyone
Adherence to self sustenance creates unity with others who also adhere to self. ONE emits his own ecosystem outwards. Sustaining self creates the need to procreate with others, which then creates shared responsibility over the creation (offspring) within a family unit, which creates the need for a habitat surrounded by those who also adhere to self sustenance.
The only number that matters is ONE; ONEself, because ALL is ONE in energy. The differences we perceive between each ONE represent inspiration needed to get each of us to adhere to self sustenance. We are only segregated into individual ONE potential, because that's how ALL potentiality sustains itself within motion.
Nature segregates differences to inspire senses to sustain self, and inspiration can only come from the perception of differences. If ALL would be the same; what would inspire it to create? Segregation is needed for inspiration, which is why miscegenation is wielded against segregation to corrupt access to inspiration.
