Blue beads from VENICE found in Alaska may predate Columbus: There is a "hidden history" of western Europe's involvement in the New World that ante-dates the Columbus expedition, and that history has much to do with bullion, trade, banking, China, and the Knights Templar. (gizadeathstar.com)

But lurking in the background of all of this high octane speculation is a question: What possibly could Alaskan Indians have that Venice (or China, or both) would want to trade for beads? We could give the usual response: blubber, furs, fish and so on. But I suspect there is something else entirely in play, something worth the price of a few beads: information... perhaps Venice (and its Templar) allies, and perhaps even the Chinese, were looking for something that they suspected was in the New World...

Check out The Financial Vipers of Venice by Joseph Farrell (blog author) for a fascinating missing chapter of history!

Love me some ancient history mysteries.

What I believe they were looking for was divinity.

Before people traded money they bartered goods.

Food was a currency in many situations.

For example, the Aztecs and Mayans currency was the Cacao bean.

When Spanish arrived in South America, one of the things they really liked was their chocolate and mapacho (tobacco with Harmaline alkaloids). The chocolate can be fermented to produce beer. It was ancient mole sauce, with an extra kick.

What I suspect is that the most valuable "currency" was one that provided a special buzz. These were divine foods, foods of the Gods. And they were highly sought after and traded furiously. We are talking about wine and other alcoholic beverages, and particularly psychedelic foods like psilocybe mushrooms and fermented cacao (alcohol). In that time period, these were all certainly entheogens. And entheogens would have been the prized currency. Once you have entheogens, you can produce anything. Entire cultures, megaliths, etc.
