New. Your thoughts on Signal, telegram or Gab, as a solid social messaging program would be appreciated. Searches prove somewhat useless as to security/privacy/lack of alphabet agency involvement....I figure this would be the place to ask. Thanks in advance.

How about finding or building a local food/water source in your vicinity, like for example a farmer, and establish a real social communication system among your own, or you can keep playing digital wack a mole with the military industrial complex, on their own infrastructure; designed to farm you like cattle with fictitious incentives to gain your consent to ignore reality for?
I was about to come in here and say "try going outside" but your response hits the nail on the head.
Maybe we should build a digital network based on reality network credentials. As in; prove that you have value in reality and that you deserve to play with fiction.
Signal's creation was funded by the CIA. I hear Telegram are censoring somewhat. Gab seems like the wisest choice ATM. Parler is supposed to come back online this week.
Signal for anything illegal or borderline, telegram for messaging friends, gab for spreading memes.
gab is nice, signal is liek whatsapp but with no friends using it, telegram ive never been interested in using
