The "Gary Webb" post was LITERALLY the ONE submission that was unequivocally a karma grab from shills.
Like that was /r/conspiracy modding 101.
It also would be posted whenever a massive conspiracy was unfolding, and they ALWAYS would rocket to the top of the sub with 99% upvoted, no matter the time of day.
Are there some "genuine" conspiracy researchers that organically upvote the gary webb contentt ad nauseum? Maybe, but they are negligible.
This speaks to the extreme disorientation of the current mod team and the MAJOR lack of direction.
There's currently a sticky that's almost a month old! And it's warning about Hunter Biden pics?
smh.
I think stickying that retarded thread (no disrespect to Gary) is one of the biggest fuck yous the current mod team could give the community.
It's been less than a MONTH since I was given the boot from /r/conspiracy and reddit (with no explanation or citation), and here's what's happened:
Comment sections overrun with anti-conspiracy trolls
Maybe it’s just the “new ownership” showing how “down with conspiracies” they are, it’s a pretty safe choice, and maybe it’s there to refresh the idea of a double headshot suicide in the community for any actual journalists or investigators

Interesting point. It's so frequently posted, in one form or another, and always highly up-voted. Definitely not organic, since it's so well known at this stage and there is far bigger shit going on. Not even new JFK or 9/11 stuff generates interest and upvotes like these dumb infographics seem to.
I followed the link actually, and what’s sickening is the comments in the top thread. A handful of people literally calling Webb’s story “fake news” and saying “no he really killed himself, some guy wrote a book that said so” lmfao
As we've seen with users like GhostofDusty and Intellidinoalien, they've long ago infiltrated the mod team and I trust none of them.
It was clearly laid out shortly after Reddit's founding by Cass Sunstein and the likes:
Sunstein co-authored a 2008 paper with Adrian Vermeule, titled "Conspiracy Theories," dealing with the risks and possible government responses to conspiracy theories resulting from "cascades" of faulty information within groups that may ultimately lead to violence. In this article they wrote, "The existence of both domestic and foreign conspiracy theories, we suggest, is no trivial matter, posing real risks to the government's antiterrorism policies, whatever the latter may be." They go on to propose that, "the best response consists in cognitive infiltration of extremist groups",[38] where they suggest, among other tactics, "Government agents (and their allies) might enter chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine percolating conspiracy theories by raising doubts about their factual premises, causal logic or implications for political action."[38] They refer, several times, to groups that promote the view that the US Government was responsible or complicit in the September 11 attacks as "extremist groups.
I mean really, who do we think these anonymous accounts are? Do we really think they didn't do everything they could to control these places long ago?
Ugh this is so pathetic and disappointing.

Let's just talk about Rampart

The sticky is a new development though.

Don’t forget to mention the warning about having any dirt on hunter for the last three weeks!
I'll copy my comment from another post:

Well.... That is why we are here now isn't it?
