I think he'll recognize this as his one ultimate regret. He saw the steal coming. He saw what they would do, and how they would do it. He couldn't bring himself to declare the martial law. It's a line he couldn't cross, and I feel, he will come to regret it (if he hasn't already)

If they can't get enough R senators on board to convict Trump they're not going to get enough support to make new states or pack the court
