Watched the ISS live stream a few days ago when they were making “repairs”. Most of the astronauts movements seemed robotic and mechanical. Any theories?

I've seen a lot of ISS live feed fails. They have obvious harnesses on and show rendering glitches that only affect the people and not the surroundings, showing that they are being superimposed.
A lot of space footage is shot underwater and people have caught air bubbles escaping to the surface.
