What's the thinking about the most appropriate city to be it's new Capital ?

In 1862, during the early months of the U.S. civil war, President Abraham Lincoln took the extraordinary step of designating an obscure village on the other side of the continent as America's alternative national capital. The city he picked was Port Angeles, WA which is located on the south shore of Juan de Fuca Strait, below Vancouver Island.

Well we could follow the founding fathers lead and put it in the center. That would be someplace in the middle of nowhere Kansas. You know politicians and lobbying knobs would love that.

Yes more than once. In the war of independence. Until philly was destroyed. Maybe again around 1812 when the British destroyed the White House and sacked DC.

St Louis - already has a lot of federal buildings. Is as far north as you can sail on the Mississippi with Navy class ships. Centrally located.
I vote for Mar-A-Lago. LOL. At least for the next eight years. Since the President is already there and he should get a do-over on the first four years, Mar-A-Lago sounds just fine to me. If not there, he's always welcome in Texas. Just stay outta Austin and Dallas.
