That represents an offer made towards ones free will of choice for consent...it's called a contract of belief, and consenting to such an offer by another one represents ones ignorance over self in favor of the false authority of another.
Nature is the source of ALL information, and it communicates it as inspiration to ones senses; hence it being an offer requiring ones free will of choice. Our continuous ignorance to adhere to that, based on selfishness, led to a parasite exploiting that selfish ignorance by playing the role of the substitute (fictitious) information source for reality.
How do they do this? With words. Nature doesn't use words to inspire senses, and yet ONE can perceive ALL has to offer. A "word" represents ones assumptions about what he believes ALL means; proclaimed as truth or false to other ones. A word is therefore an idol one believes, while ignoring reality.
The resulting corruption (besides the parasites exploiting ignorance) is the ego; the inner monologue, solely based on "word" based definitions of reality aka selfish assumptions that ignore reality aka affixed fiction within a motion based reality aka a contradiction to reality.
It's not WHAT one believes; only THAT one believes, because that represents ignorance of self; of reality. If one consent to any belief; one finds oneself within a conflict between believers and non-believers, which are both defined by fiction, while ignoring reality. that is how the ones offering the contract of belief control both sides of every conflict, because it's always about fiction, and so the outcome in reality is always self destructive.
