At that time, there was no any bacteria or any other living organism who could consume and decompose lignin and cellulose. And there appeared trees. Wood is literally composite plastic, made from cellulose and lignin. And trees dies, like most living beings. And the whole planet was covered with that plastic garbage. Eventually, that plastic garbage drown to the soil and become a coal we taking out now.
How do you know, that all that plastic is not a natural process to return the coal to the Earth? Or may be our planet just want what we take back in a new form to develop something useful for future beings, like it already did it with wooden palstic in the past?
