The studies done on medical personals (people who are trained in the proper use and disposal of masks) showed that cloth masks apart from having extremely low filtration were actually an infection risk. Meanwhile back in reality people are wearing the same mask all day, maybe for multiple days in a row. They are repeatedly touching and contaminating them. I can't imagine what's growing in the way of bacteria on the average person's mask. I think people will look back in 10 or 20 years time at this period and conclude that people were mentally ill, having been driven insane by the media and politicians.

Well considering breathing dry air is what causes the common cold, as cold air holds no moisture and west asians need approximately 50% (40-60%)air humidity to keep their heads/brains hydrated (the sinuses remove the moisture from the air when we inhale through nose)... and cold air holds no moisture, hence the name the "common cold"... it makes sense to wear a mask when the air humidity is below 40% to keep our heads from dehydrating... though when the air humidity is above 40% forgetaboutit!!!
